DAY 1

Casablanca – Fez

Departure from Casablanca after breakfast. The journey continues through Morocco’s inland landscapes towards Fez, the country’s imperial and spiritual city. Upon arrival, free time for a first introduction to the ancient medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its maze of narrow streets, markets and artisan workshops. Opportunity to relax in a traditional hammam or discover the first flavours of local cuisine.

DAY 2

Guided Tour of Fez

After breakfast, the entire day is dedicated to a guided tour of Fez, the oldest of Morocco’s four Imperial Cities, rich in art, history and culture. You will visit the Bou Inania Madrasa, the Al Quaraouiyine Mosque, home to one of the oldest universities in the Islamic world, the Al Attarine Madrasa, and the Nejjarine Fountain. Your guide will also take you to the tannery district and a workshop producing traditional ceramics. The tour also includes the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss and the Merenid Tombs, offering a magnificent view over the medina. In the afternoon, return to the riad.

DAY 3

Fez – Ifrane – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

After breakfast, departure south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. The first stop is Ifrane, nicknamed the “Little Switzerland of Morocco” for its European-style architecture and alpine setting. The journey continues to Azrou, where you can observe the Barbary macaques in the cedar forest. You will then cross the Ziz Valley, dotted with oases and kasbahs, before reaching Merzouga, a village at the gateway to Erg Chebbi. At sunset, departure on a camel ride towards the Berber desert camp, where dinner and live traditional music under the stars await you.

DAY 4

Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dadès Valley

At dawn, you will admire the sunrise over the dunes before departing towards Rissani, where you will have the opportunity to visit its famous and lively market. After a short stop, the journey continues towards Erfoud, located at the gateway to the desert and also known as the city of fossils due to the abundance of fossil stones found in the area. The journey then continues towards the Todra Gorges, before arriving in the Dadès Valley in the evening.

DAY 5

Dadès Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait-Ben-Haddou – Tizi n’Tichka – Marrakech

After breakfast, departure through the Dadès Valley, crossing the Valley of Roses, famous for the cultivation of the Damask rose, from which essence is extracted for the production of many cosmetics. You will visit the Dadès Gorges. The journey will then continue towards Ouarzazate, which expanded in the 1920s under the French as a military and administrative centre. Near the town are the Atlas Film Corporation Studios, known as the Hollywood of Morocco, where numerous films set in the desert have been and continue to be filmed. The journey then continues north towards Marrakech, passing through the Ait-Ben-Haddou Kasbah, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The route continues across the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka, the highest road pass in the country. Mountain landscapes, deep gorges and Berber villages accompany the journey until arrival in Marrakech in the evening.

DAY 6

Guided Tour of Marrakech – Casablanca

After breakfast, the morning is dedicated to a guided tour of Marrakech, also known as the “Red City” or the “Pearl of the South”. Main stops include the Bahia Palace, El Badi Palace, the Saadian Tombs, the Ben Youssef Madrasa, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Menara Gardens and the Majorelle Garden, with an optional visit to the Yves Saint Laurent Museum. Free time for tea on a terrace overlooking Jemaa el-Fna, the vibrant heart of the city. In the early afternoon, departure for Casablanca, Morocco’s economic capital and a major hub for international trade. Modern and cosmopolitan, the city is partly built on the site of an ancient Berber settlement destroyed by an earthquake in the 18th century. You will pass through the Nouvelle Ville, designed by the French and characterized by gardens, elegant boulevards, shops and cafés. The city’s most iconic landmark is the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world, built partly over the Atlantic Ocean. Arrival at the hotel in the evening.
