From Medinas to the Sands of Merzouga

A journey filled with authentic experiences, from the historic city of Fez to the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, passing through Berber valleys, fortified kasbahs, spectacular gorges and the unique landscapes of the High Atlas Mountains. In 5 days, you will experience the true essence of southern Morocco, through tradition, nature and history.

DAY 1

Guided Tour of Fez – Midelt

After breakfast, departure for a guided tour of Fez, the oldest of the Imperial Cities of Morocco. You will explore the Medina, with stops at the Bou Inania Madrasa, the Al Quaraouiyine Mosque, Nejjarine Square, the traditional tanneries and the ceramic workshop. You will also visit the Ville Nouvelle, the Royal Palace and the Jewish Quarter. In the afternoon, departure south towards Midelt, crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains and cedar forests.

Dinner and overnight stay in a riad.

DAY 2

Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast, departure across the Atlas highlands towards Errachidia, the gateway to southern Morocco. You will cross the lush Ziz Valley, dotted with palm groves and Berber villages. Stop in Erfoud, known as the “city of fossils” for the abundance of ancient marine fossils found in the area. In the afternoon, you will reach Merzouga, at the gateway to Erg Chebbi. Shortly before sunset, departure by camel towards the Berber desert camp, where you will experience an unforgettable evening in the heart of the Sahara with dinner under the stars and traditional Berber music.

DAY 3

Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Khamlia – Mifiss – Merzouga

At dawn, you will watch the sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast at the camp. The entire day is dedicated to discovering Erg Chebbi, one of the most iconic landscapes of the Sahara. After breakfast, you will set off by 4×4 to explore the desert dunes, also visiting some nomadic families who live in remote areas of the desert. You will then reach the village of Khamlia, home to descendants of people originally from Mali, Senegal and Mauritania, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy an authentic Gnawa music performance, an important part of African cultural heritage. You will also visit the Mifiss mines, now abandoned but still full of fascinating history and atmosphere. In the late afternoon, you will return to Merzouga.

DAY 4

Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dadès Valley

After breakfast, departure from Merzouga towards Rissani, where you will have the opportunity to visit its famous and lively market. After a short stop, the journey continues towards Erfoud, located at the gateway to the desert and also known as the city of fossils due to the abundance of fossil stones found in the area. The journey then continues towards the Todra Gorges, before arriving in the Dadès Valley in the evening.

DAY 5

Dadès Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait-Ben-Haddou – Tizi n’Tichka – Marrakech

After breakfast, departure through the Dadès Valley, crossing the Valley of Roses, famous for the cultivation of the Damask rose, from which essence is extracted for the production of many cosmetics. You will visit the Dadès Gorges. The journey will then continue towards Ouarzazate, which expanded in the 1920s under the French as a military and administrative centre. Near the town are the Atlas Film Corporation Studios, known as the Hollywood of Morocco, where numerous films set in the desert have been and continue to be filmed. The journey then continues north towards Marrakech, passing through the Ait-Ben-Haddou Kasbah, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The route continues across the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka, the highest road pass in the country. Mountain landscapes, deep gorges and Berber villages accompany the journey until arrival in Marrakech in the evening.

Non ci sono parole per descrivere la bellezza dei posti che abbiamo visitato , la bontà dei cibi che abbiamo assaggiato, l ‘accoglienza delle persone che abbiamo incontrato…. e questo, grazie alla professionalità di Elisabetta ( che ci è stata di supporto per tutto il viaggio), di El Hossine Ouattou ,nostro bravissimo e simpaticissimo driver e quello delle nostre guide….Consiglio a tutti quelli che vogliono scoprire il Marocco di affidarsi a loro!!!❤️❤️

Esperienza bellissima per tutta la famiglia (2 ragazzi di 9 e 13 anni). Abbiamo passato assieme una intera settimana.semplicente perfetto!! disponibile,gentile,professionale e soprattutto paziente,avendo due adolescenti e due bambine piccole.. una guida esperta che ci ha permesso di visitare luoghi anche al di fuori delle classiche mete turistiche. Vacanza indimenticabile. Elisabetta professionale e gentilissima ci ha accontentato in tutte le nostre richieste. Aziz , il nostro accompagnatore , persona veramente eccezionale. Said, la guida che abbiamo avuto a Meknès strepitosa; non solo preparata a livello culturale, ma un vero d proprio maestro di vita. Ricordi che rimarranno impressi nei cuori.

Vacanza stupenda, ci siamo costruiti un tour su misura e siamo stati seguiti e accontentati dall’inizio alla fine dalla signora Elisabetta. Mezzi per gli spostamenti nuovi e comodi Aziz l’accompagnatore /autista con il quale abbiamo passato molto tempo una persona stupenda, empatica e professionale.  Verificata Tour completo del Marocco
Il nostro viaggio in Marocco è iniziato il 7 agosto partendo da Casablanca e proseguendo verso nord lungo la costa atlantica con tappa a Rabat, Assilah, Cape Spartel, arrivando poi a Chefchouen, Fes e Meknès. Ci siamo poi diretto verso l'interno, nel deserto arrivando fino al confine con l'Algeria. Infine siamo arrivati a Marrakech. Grazie a Elisabetta che ha compreso fin da subito la nostra idea di viaggio è' stata un'esperienza incredibile e l'organizzazione è stata impeccabile. Le strutture dove abbiamo alloggiato erano tutte di alto livello, molto pulite e con servizi ben organizzati. Il nostro driver Ali', che parla un ottimo italiano, è un ragazzo eccezionale che ci ha fatto conoscere la cultura berbera e ci ha sempre fatto sentire a casa. Si è sempre dimostrato attento e professionale ma anche molto divertente. E' stato tutto perfetto, un viaggio indimenticabile grazie a Marocco.tours.

 Verificata ESPERIENZA FANTASTICA
Abbiamo scelto questa agenzia perché ci ha proposto un tour nel sud del Marocco diverso dal solito. Elisabetta è sempre stata presente durante tutto il tour con un messaggio per assicurarsi che tutto andava per il meglio. Ma noi non abbiamo avuto nessun dubbia già dal primo giorno che ci è venuto a prendere il nostro driver, guida, e amico simpaticissimo ALÌ. Con lui il viaggio, anche di diversi kilometri, è stata una scoperta dopo l'altra! Abbiamo anche conosciuto le sue origini, la sua famiglia e i posti del deserto dove solo lui avrebbe potuto portarci. È stato progettato nei minimi dettagli e cercando di vedere il più possibile per i nostri giorni a disposizione. Infine ma non per ultimo, vorremmo fare una menzione speciale a tutte le guide che abbiamo incontrato, che parlavano un italiano perfetto, ma soprattutto alla nostra guida nella Medina di Marrakech YIDIR, anche lui lineare nelle spiegazioni, disponibile a qualsiasi domanda, simpaticissimo che ha reso una mattina con 45 gradi all'ombra, una giornata memorabile. Abbiamo fatto un bel viaggio ben organizzato, abbiamo avuto un piccolo problema che Elisabetta ci ha risolto velocemente e in maniera brillante . Per tutto il tours abbiamo avuto cole driver Aziz che è stato spettacolare ci ha guidato con esperienza , e con simpatia ci ha fatto scoprire abitudini e usanze del posto, grande conoscitore del deserto, che dire bravo Aziz

Viaggio bellissimo, molto ben organizzato e negli imprevisti, che possono sempre capitare, una soluzione pronta ed eccellente. Nel tour abbiamo visitato molte città, ognuna con una propria caratteristica e, alla fine, possiamo dire che abbiamo capito l'anima del Marocco. Le guide sono state molto brave a spiegarci la storia e la filosofia di vita del posto. Aziz , che ci ha accompagnato e trasportato per tutto il periodo di 9 gg è stato eccellente in tutto, simpatico, cordiale, rispettoso, educato, sorridente e premuroso. Grazie allo staff.
