DAY 2
After breakfast, departure from Agdz, in the heart of the lush Draa Valley, to visit the magnificent Tamnougalt Kasbah, an ancient fortress that tells centuries of Berber history and culture. We will continue south, as the landscape gradually transforms into a succession of rocky plateaus and vast desert expanses, until we reach Alnif, famous for its ancient fossils and the charm of a more authentic and wild side of Morocco. The journey continues towards Rissani, an ancient caravan town and the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty. We will explore its vibrant traditional market, where the atmosphere of the old trading routes can still be felt. Arrival in Merzouga in the afternoon, at the gateway to the Erg Chebbi Desert. Before sunset, departure by camel to reach the Berber tents, also known as “Haima”, where dinner will be served under the stars and you will enjoy traditional Berber music played with percussion instruments.

DAY 3
Wake up at dawn to watch the sunrise among the dunes, followed by breakfast at the desert camp and departure to explore the dunes of Erg Chebbi, where you will have the opportunity to admire and photograph unique landscapes. Along the way, we will make a short visit to nomadic families who live in remote areas of the desert. The journey continues to the Village of Khamlia, home to communities originally from Mali, Senegal and Mauritania, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy a traditional Gnawa music performance. A short visit to the Mifiss mines before returning to the riad in Merzouga.

DAY 4
After breakfast, departure from the village of Merzouga towards Erfoud, a town known for its ancient fossils and artisan workshops specializing in fossil stone. Here, you can make a short stop to visit a specialized workshop and discover ancient marine remains embedded in the rock. Leaving Erfoud, the road crosses desert landscapes and lush palm groves until reaching the Todra Gorges, an impressive canyon with red rock walls rising up to 300 metres. There will be time for a walk along the river flowing through the gorges, experiencing the authentic atmosphere of this place, popular with hikers and climbers. We will then continue our journey as the landscape gradually changes upon entering the scenic Dades Valley, famous for its unique rock formations and panoramic road winding through the mountains. A stop at the spectacular rock formations known as the “Monkey Fingers” offers the opportunity to take unforgettable photographs. Continuing along the Road of 1000 Kasbahs, you can admire ancient earthen fortresses surrounded by canyons and palm groves, reminders of a region rich in history. Arrival in Dades in the evening.

DAY 5
After breakfast, visit to the spectacular Dadès Gorges in the early morning light. The journey will then continue through the scenic Valley of Roses, where in spring the fields are painted in shades of pink and the air is filled with the fragrance of freshly picked roses. Passing through Berber villages surrounded by lush green landscapes, you will reach the famous Amridil Kasbah, one of the most fascinating and best-preserved kasbahs in Morocco, offering an insight into the history and traditions of ancient local families. After visiting this remarkable example of earthen architecture, the journey will continue across the impressive High Atlas Mountains before finally arriving in Marrakech in the evening.
