DAY 1
Departure from Marrakech after breakfast, crossing the High Atlas Mountains to the scenic Tizi n’Tichka, the highest road pass in the country at 2,260 metres. Surrounded by spectacular landscapes, you will reach the majestic Ait-Ben-Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and famous filming location. After a short visit, the journey continues towards Ouarzazate, historically a French military outpost and today known for the Atlas Film Studios, where films such as Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator were shot. The journey continues through the Valley of Roses, renowned for the cultivation of the Damask rose and the traditional production of rose essences. Finally, you will arrive in the Dadès Valley, where you will visit the spectacular Dadès Gorges, a red-rock canyon with extraordinary formations.

DAY 2
After breakfast, departure to discover the Todra Gorges, towering rock walls that form one of Morocco’s most impressive canyons, popular with climbers and travellers. The journey continues towards Erfoud, a town known as the fossil capital, thanks to the numerous deposits of shells, ammonites and prehistoric stones found in the area. In the afternoon, you will reach Merzouga, at the gateway to the Erg Chebbi Desert. At sunset, the camel ride through the dunes begins, taking you to a Berber desert camp in the heart of the Sahara. Here, you will enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner under the stars and live traditional Berber music, with drums and songs around the campfire.

DAY 3
The day begins early with the spectacular sunrise over the dunes, a magical moment in the silence of the desert. After breakfast at the camp, you will return to Merzouga by camel and depart north. The journey takes you through the scenic Ziz Valley, dotted with palm groves and kasbahs, before continuing towards the Middle Atlas Mountains. You will reach the town of Ifrane, nicknamed the “Little Switzerland of Morocco” for its European-style architecture and alpine setting at an altitude of over 1,700 metres. A short stop in Azrou, in the cedar forest inhabited by Barbary macaques, which roam freely among the trees. Arrival in Fez in the late afternoon, one of Morocco’s oldest imperial cities.
