On this two-day journey from Marrakech to Zagora, you will cross spectacular mountain landscapes, visit ancient kasbahs and spend the night in a Berber desert camp. A complete experience for those who want to discover the authentic south of Morocco in a short time, surrounded by nature, culture and breathtaking scenery.
DAY 1
Departure from your riad in Marrakech after breakfast, heading south across the High Atlas Mountains along the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka road, the highest mountain pass in Morocco at 2,260 metres. The scenery, with Berber villages and green valleys, is breathtaking. After crossing the pass, you will reach Ait-Ben-Haddou, one of the country’s most iconic kasbahs, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and filming location for productions such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After a short visit, the journey continues towards the Draa Valley, known as the valley of a thousand kasbahs, passing through oases, palm groves and ancient earthen fortresses. Arrival in Zagora in the afternoon, followed by a camel ride to the desert camp, where a traditional dinner, live Berber music and a night under the stars await you, for an authentic nomadic experience.
