DAY 1
After breakfast in Casablanca, departure towards Marrakech, about a three-hour drive. The day is dedicated to a guided tour of the city, one of Morocco’s four Imperial Cities, known as the “Pearl of the South” or the “Red City” for its ochre walls. With an official guide, you’ll visit historical landmarks such as the Bahia Palace, El Badi Palace, the Saadian Tombs, the Ben Youssef Madrasa, the Menara Gardens, and the Koutoubia Mosque. After lunch near Jemaa el-Fna square, the tour continues with the Majorelle Gardens and an optional visit to the Yves Saint Laurent Museum. Free dinner and overnight in a riad.
DAY 2
After breakfast, departure towards the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the famous Tizi n’Tichka pass at 2,260 meters. Arrival at the imposing Ait-Ben-Haddou kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and iconic film set. After the visit, continue to Ouarzazate, a former French military center now home to the Atlas Film Studios, known as Morocco’s Hollywood. Cross the Valley of Roses, famous for damask roses, before reaching the Dadès Valley, known for its stunning gorges and postcard-worthy landscapes. Dinner and overnight in a traditional riad or hotel.
DAY 3
After breakfast, visit the spectacular Todra Gorges, where vertical rock walls rise up to 300 meters, ideal for walks and photography. Continue to Erfoud, a city famous for fossil craftsmanship, where ancient marine relics are transformed into works of art. In the afternoon, arrival in Merzouga, gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes. Before sunset, camel ride into the golden dunes to reach the Berber camp. After a traditional dinner under the stars, enjoy live Berber music around the fire. Overnight in a haima tent in the desert.
DAY 4
Wake up at dawn to admire the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast and a shower at the camp, return to Merzouga by camel. The journey continues to Rissani, a historic caravan town with a vibrant traditional market. Travel through the lush Draa Valley, lined with endless palm groves and kasbahs, before crossing back into the High Atlas Mountains. Arrival in Marrakech by evening. Free dinner and overnight in a riad or hotel in the medina.
DAY 5
After breakfast, depart for Casablanca, Morocco’s economic capital and a major commercial hub. This modern, cosmopolitan city was partly built on the site of an ancient Berber settlement destroyed by an earthquake in the 18th century. Drive through the French-designed Nouvelle Ville, rich in gardens, elegant boulevards, shops, and cafés. Visit the iconic Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest in the Islamic world, partly built over the ocean. Arrival at the riad or hotel and end of service.
