From Fès to Marrakech, passing through Meknès, Merzouga, the Dadès Gorges, and Ait-Ben-Haddou — a route designed for travelers who want to dive deep into Moroccan culture, between vibrant cities, desert landscapes, and mountain villages.

DAY 1

Guided Tour of Fès

After breakfast at the riad, start your guided tour of Fès, one of the oldest and most fascinating imperial cities of the Islamic world. With an official guide, explore the Ville Nouvelle (Royal Palace, Jewish Quarter, and train station) and the UNESCO-listed Medina, a labyrinth of alleys and bustling souks. Visit the Bou Inania Madrasa, Al Karaouine Mosque, Attarine Madrasa, Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, Nejjarine Fountain, and the famous traditional tanneries. The tour ends at a ceramics workshop. Return in the afternoon. Overnight stay in riad.

DAY 2

Fès – Meknès – Midelt

After breakfast, depart for Meknès, the youngest of the Imperial Cities. Visit Bab Mansour Gate, El-Hedim Square, the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, the Bou Inania Madrasa, and the Andalusian Gardens. Enjoy a stroll through the souks, palaces, the Jewish Quarter, and the Dar Jamai Museum. In the afternoon, continue through the Middle Atlas mountains and cedar forests to Midelt. Arrival in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay in riad/hotel.

DAY 3

Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast, head south crossing Errachidia and the lush Ziz Valley, dotted with palm groves and red-mud villages. Continue to Erfoud, a desert town famous for its marine fossils. DAY 4

Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Khamlia – Desert Camp

After breakfast, embark on a 4×4 excursion through the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Visit nomadic families living in desert tents, followed by a stop in Khamlia, an African village famous for its live Gnawa music performances. Explore the abandoned but scenic Mifiss mines. Return to Merzouga in the afternoon and, at sunset, ride a camel to the Berber desert camp. Enjoy a traditional dinner under the stars with live Berber music. Overnight in a haima tent in the Sahara.

DAY 5

Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

Witness the sunrise over the dunes, then have breakfast at the camp before riding back to Merzouga by camel. Depart towards the spectacular Todra Gorges, dramatic canyons carved into the red rocks, perfect for panoramic walks. Continue to the Dades Valley, known for its mountain landscapes, unique rock formations, and traditional Berber villages. Check-in at a local riad overlooking the gorges. Dinner and overnight stay in riad/hotel.

DAY 6

Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait-Ben-Haddou – Marrakech

After breakfast, cross the Valley of Roses, famous for its production of damask rose oil and water. Arrive in Ouarzazate, a historic and cinematic city, with an optional visit to the Atlas Studios. Proceed to the legendary Ait-Ben-Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and famous film set for movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
