DAY 1
After breakfast, departure from Casablanca with your private driver/guide. Journey through Morocco’s interior towards Fès, the country’s imperial and spiritual capital. Upon arrival, free time to explore the UNESCO-listed ancient medina: a labyrinth of alleys, markets, and artisan workshops. Optional traditional hammam experience or first taste of local cuisine. Dinner and overnight stay in a charming riad or hotel in the heart of the old city.
DAY 2
Full day dedicated to exploring Fès, the oldest of Morocco’s Imperial Cities, rich in art, history, and culture. Visits include the Bou Inania Madrasa, Al Karaouine Mosque (one of the world’s oldest universities), the Attarine Madrasa, and the Najjarine Fountain. Discover the traditional tanneries and a ceramic workshop. The tour also includes the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss and the Merenid Tombs, offering stunning views over the medina. Return to your riad in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 3
After breakfast, head south across the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, known as the “Little Switzerland of Morocco” for its European-style architecture. Continue to Azrou to see Barbary macaques in the cedar forests. Travel along the Ziz Valley, dotted with oases and kasbahs, until reaching Merzouga, gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes. At sunset, camel trek into the desert to a traditional Berber camp. Enjoy a dinner under the stars with live music. Overnight in a haima tent.
DAY 4
Wake at dawn to watch the sunrise over the dunes, then return to Merzouga by camel for breakfast and a shower. Depart for Rissani, home to a vibrant traditional market full of spices, textiles, and crafts. Continue through the Dadès Valley and the Rose Valley, famous for its Damask roses. Visit the dramatic Dadès Gorges before traveling through the lush Draa Valley, with its endless palm groves and earthen kasbahs. Arrive in Ouarzazate, the historic gateway to the desert and a renowned film location. Free time to visit the Atlas Studios. Dinner and overnight stay in a riad.
DAY 5
After breakfast, visit the legendary Ait-Ben-Haddou kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most iconic fortified villages, featured in films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka pass. Enjoy the shifting landscapes of gorges, valleys, and Berber villages. Arrive in Marrakech by late afternoon. Dinner at leisure and overnight stay in a riad.
DAY 6
On the final day, depart for Casablanca, Morocco’s economic capital on the Atlantic coast. Built in 1906 on the ruins of a Berber settlement destroyed by an earthquake, Casablanca today is a modern metropolis with colonial-era neighborhoods and wide boulevards. Drive through the French-designed Nouvelle Ville and visit the spectacular Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest in the Islamic world, built partly over the ocean and crowned by a 210-meter-high minaret. Arrival at the hotel and end of the tour.
